This Active AirClean Charcoal filter, a step up from the Super Air Clean Filter technology, is designed to fit ART S900 series vacuums. It combines the Super Air Clean Filter with a charcoal cassette to absorb odors from the dustbag that is especially useful if you have pets. This filter retains 99.95% of particles down to 0.5 of a micron (only 1& 1/200th the width of a strand of human hair). and has a life of 50 hours, which is typically 12 months of average use. There is a place to write the date on the filter, so you know exactly when it should be replaced. recommends this filter to be changed once a year.
