✅ Cross Reference Information

Common Symptoms

• Door falls or drops quickly when opened
• Door feels heavier than normal
• Door is difficult to close or latch properly
• Uneven door movement caused by a broken or weakened spring/cable assembly

Check Before Replacing

• With the dishwasher empty and powered off, open the door slowly and observe whether it drops quickly or feels substantially heavier than normal.
• Visually inspect the accessible door-spring and cable areas for a visibly broken, detached, or slack spring or cable; do not touch a spring under tension.
• Check whether the door moves unevenly from left to right, which may indicate a problem in one side of the door-balance mechanism.
• Verify the appliance model number against the parts listing before ordering, because door-balance components can vary by model.

Installation Notes

• Disconnect electrical power and water supplies as appropriate before accessing the dishwasher door or moving the appliance.
• The spring is under tension and can snap during removal or installation; wear suitable hand protection and keep hands clear of the spring path.
• Follow the appliance-specific Bosch service or installation documentation for access and attachment points.
• Inspect the cable, pulley, hinge, and spring mounting points before reassembly; replace damaged related parts as required.
• If access requires pulling out the built-in dishwasher or removing door panels, consider using an authorized servicer.
