The A00466828 is the OEM door boot seal (door gasket) for the Electrolux ELFW4222AW front-load washer. This large rubber bellows seal forms a watertight barrier between the door glass and the drum opening. When it tears, cracks, or develops holes — often from sharp objects left in pockets or from mould degradation — water leaks out the front of the machine during every cycle. Replacing the door seal is one of the most common front-load washer repairs and restores a fully leak-free wash.

The A00466828 door boot seal is manufactured to Electrolux’s original specifications — same rubber compound, same bellows geometry, same mounting ring dimensions as the factory part. It includes the full seal assembly ready for installation. This part fits the ELFW4222AW and may fit additional Electrolux front-load models sharing the same drum opening diameter — confirm your model number before ordering.

Unplug the washer before beginning. Open the door and locate the spring clamp holding the outer lip of the seal to the front panel — use a flat screwdriver or spring clamp tool to release it. Peel the seal away from the front panel and drum opening. Note the orientation of the drain holes at the bottom before removing. Install the new seal by seating the inner lip around the drum first, then work the outer lip onto the front panel and reinstall the spring clamp. Run an empty rinse cycle to check for leaks before loading laundry. Most installations take 30–60 minutes.
