DA97-12608B Samsung Refrigerator Evaporator Cover and Fan Assembly – Fridge Not Cooling, Warm Fresh Food Section, or Fan Not Running
The DA97-12608B is the complete evaporator cover and integrated fan motor assembly for Samsung French door and side-by-side refrigerators. When this fan fails, cold air can no longer circulate from the evaporator coils into the fresh food compartment — the freezer may still run fine while the fridge section climbs above safe temperatures. This part directly replaces DA97-12608A and DA97-12608C. Note: This part is no longer available from Samsung. Contact us to discuss alternative options.

💡 Pro Tip — Check the Evaporator Coils and Defrost System Too:
A failed evaporator fan often runs alongside a defrost system problem — if the coils were heavily iced when the fan seized, inspect the defrost heater and defrost thermostat before closing up. Replacing just the fan without addressing a root-cause defrost failure will result in a repeat repair within weeks. Contact us and we can help identify compatible alternative parts for the full repair.
