The DG47-00020B is the OEM bake element for a wide range of Samsung ranges. If your oven won’t heat, takes forever to preheat, bakes unevenly, or the element doesn’t glow red, this is the direct OEM replacement. The bake element is the primary heating component in the bottom of the oven cavity — when it fails from repeated thermal cycling and high-temperature exposure, the oven loses the ability to generate consistent heat for baking and roasting. Replacing it restores full heating capacity and reliable oven performance.
The bake element is the primary heating component in the bottom of the oven cavity. It communicates with the oven control board to cycle on and off and maintain the set temperature. Over years of use, the metal coil expands and contracts with each heating cycle, eventually developing breaks in the heating wire or losing electrical continuity — at which point the element won’t glow red, won’t heat properly, or won’t heat at all.
Replacing the DG47-00020B bake element typically resolves: oven won’t heat or doesn’t get hot enough, oven takes too long to preheat, uneven baking or cooking results, food undercooked on the bottom, bake element doesn’t glow red, oven temperature lower than set point, and inconsistent oven performance.

OEM / New: The DG47-00020B is the original equipment manufacturer part, sourced to match Samsung’s factory specifications exactly. This is the same element installed during original production and is the recommended option for guaranteed fit and full service life.
Used / Tested Good: Pulled from a working range and verified for electrical continuity and function. A cost-effective option when OEM new pricing is a barrier and the appliance is out of warranty.

Turn off power to the range at the circuit breaker before beginning. Remove oven racks for access. Remove the screws securing the bake element to the rear of the oven cavity, then carefully pull the element forward to access the wire connections. Disconnect the wire terminals from the old element, connect them to the new element in the same orientation, and secure with screws. Restore power and set the oven to bake — the element should glow red within a few minutes. Allow the oven to cool completely before installation and never work on electrical components with power connected.
