A failed refrigeration valve body is a sealed-system fault that stops refrigerant from flowing correctly — causing warm compartments, a compressor that never cycles off, and accelerating damage to the entire sealed system. In GE refrigerators, the copper valve body regulates refrigerant distribution between the evaporator and condenser circuits. When it fails or develops a leak, cooling collapses in one or both compartments and the compressor overloads trying to compensate. ⚡ Critical sealed-system component in GE refrigerators. Part WG03F01800 is the genuine OEM copper valve body that restores proper refrigerant regulation and protects the sealed system from further damage.
This is the correct fix if ALL of the following are true:

✔ If these symptoms match and sealed system diagnosis confirms a valve fault, this is the correct replacement component.
✔ Replacing this valve body restores proper refrigerant flow and compressor cycling when installed by a certified technician.
Skill Level: ADVANCED — Certified Technician Required. Disconnect power and recover all refrigerant before beginning — sealed system work requires EPA 608 certification (or provincial equivalent in Canada). Remove the old valve body by cutting or unsoldering the copper lines, braze the new valve body into position using nitrogen purge to prevent oxidation inside the lines, then evacuate, leak-test, and recharge to the nameplate refrigerant spec. Do not overtighten or stress copper fittings — work to manufacturer torque and brazing specifications only.
