BMW Longlife-17 FE+ approval is designed to reduce the risk of LSPI, a combustion chamber phenomenon which may result in engine knocking and damage. This approval isn't compatible with other oil types and must be used when an older Long life standard is specified. Liqui Moly 22046 0W-20 Top Tec 6600 Engine Oil (5 Liters) meets BMW Longlife-17FE approval and the company's full range has over 4,000 products which guarantee integrated use. Their engine oils are certified to meet or exceed manufacturer requirements, and through independent testing institutions, the oils have been proven to deliver what they promise.

To reduce the risk of LSPI, this oil meets the BMW Longlife-17 FE+ approval. LSPI may cause motor knocking, resulting in damage, and is not well understood. This oil is backward compatible and may be used when an older Long life standard is specified.
