Skill Level: EASY — 15–20 minutes. Unplug the washer before beginning. Remove the door boot seal retaining ring to access the door lock assembly behind the front panel, disconnect the wire harness connector, and swap the lock. Reconnect the harness, reseat the boot seal, and restore power — run a short cycle to confirm the lock engages and releases correctly before closing up the machine.
