A refrigerator that produces no water at the dispenser, no ice, or only a slow trickle has a failed water inlet valve. Skill Level: EASY — 15–20 minutes. Unplug the refrigerator and shut off the water supply valve before beginning. Pull the fridge away from the wall, locate the inlet valve at the lower rear, disconnect the water supply line and wire harness connectors, remove the mounting screws, and swap the valve. Reconnect all lines and connectors, restore water supply, and plug in — run the dispenser for 2–3 minutes to purge air from the line before checking for leaks.
