If your Bosch dishwasher starts a cycle but no water enters the tub, the water inlet valve has failed. In most Bosch, Siemens, and Thermador dishwashers, this is caused by a failed water inlet valve solenoid or clogged inlet screen. When it fails, the pump runs and the cycle starts but the tub never fills — dishes come out dirty and the unit may stop mid-cycle or throw E15, E16, or E17 error codes. ⚡ Common failure point in Bosch-built dishwashers. Skill Level: MODERATE — 30–45 minutes. Turn off the water supply valve under the sink and disconnect power at the breaker before starting. Pull the dishwasher out from under the counter, disconnect the water supply line and wiring harness from the inlet valve, swap the valve, and reconnect. Slide the unit back, restore power and water, and run a test fill cycle to confirm no leaks before pushing fully into the cabinet.
