3. Align the new knob’s D-shaped insert with the timer shaft.
4. Push the new knob onto the shaft until it is fully seated and flush with the control panel.
5. Test the knob by turning through the full range of cycles/settings to ensure smooth operation and proper engagement.

Safety Notes: Never force the knob—if it does not fit easily, check for shaft or knob damage.

1. Inspect the timer shaft for wear—replace the timer if the shaft is stripped or damaged.
