The 1718601700 is the current OEM dishwasher detergent and rinse aid dispenser, superseding the discontinued 1719000300. This dispenser assembly mounts to the inside of the dishwasher door and automatically releases detergent at the correct point in the wash cycle, while the rinse aid compartment dispenses rinse agent during the final rinse to prevent water spots and improve drying. When the dispenser fails, detergent may not release during the cycle, resulting in dishes that are not properly cleaned.

- Disconnect power to the dishwasher before beginning.
- Open the dishwasher door fully to access the inner door panel.
- Remove the screws securing the inner door panel and lift it away to expose the dispenser mounting area.
- Disconnect the wiring harness from the existing dispenser and remove the mounting screws.
- Install the new 1718601700 dispenser, reconnect the harness, and secure with the mounting screws.
- Reinstall the inner door panel, restore power, and run a test cycle to confirm the dispenser door opens correctly.
