• Disconnect electrical power before servicing and do not operate the washer with guards or panels removed.
• Route the belt over the motor pulley and large drive pulley, then position it on the idler pulley with the idler pulley riding on the outside of the belt.
• Use care when releasing idler-lever tension; overstretching the idler or helper spring can affect washer operation.
• The Alliance service procedure states that no belt adjustment is required after installation when the motor and mounting bracket are correctly positioned; verify the applicable service procedure for the washer model.
• Reconnect any ground wires removed during service before returning the washer to operation.
