If your LG or Kenmore electric dryer runs but produces no heat — or takes two or more cycles to dry a normal load — a failed heating element is the most common cause. Skill Level: INTERMEDIATE — 30–60 minutes. Unplug the dryer and disconnect from the 240V outlet before beginning. Remove the rear access panel to expose the heating element housing. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors, remove the two mounting screws, and slide the old assembly out. Transfer any reusable thermostats if not included, insert the new 5301EL1001H assembly, reconnect wiring, and reinstall the panel. Run a short timed dry cycle to confirm heat before returning to service.
