An oven that runs too hot, too cold, or wildly inconsistent almost always points to a failed temperature sensor. In most Frigidaire and Electrolux electric ranges and ovens, this is caused by a failed RTD temperature sensor probe — the component that continuously reports cavity temperature to the control board. When it fails, the board can’t regulate the heating elements accurately, leading to burnt food, undercooked meals, and temperature error codes. ⚡ One of the most common electronic failures in Frigidaire-platform ovens. Part 5304504897 is the genuine OEM replacement sensor that restores accurate temperature control and eliminates error codes immediately.

✔ If these symptoms match, this is the most likely failed component in the system.
✔ In most cases, replacing this temperature sensor restores accurate oven temperature control immediately.
Skill Level: EASY — 10 to 15 minutes. Disconnect power to the range or oven at the breaker before beginning. The sensor is located on the rear wall of the oven cavity, secured by two screws — remove the screws, pull the sensor forward, disconnect the wiring harness, and connect it to 5304504897. Reinstall the screws, restore power, and run a preheat cycle to verify the temperature reads accurately. Do not overtighten the mounting screws — finger-tight plus a quarter turn is sufficient.
