The 6500EL3001A LG Dryer Humidity Sensor is the OEM moisture sensing bar for compatible LG electric and gas dryers. When this sensor fails, your dryer loses the ability to detect when clothes are dry — resulting in over-drying, clothes coming out still damp, or the dryer running indefinitely. Available in genuine OEM and premium XPart aftermarket options.

The humidity sensor (also called a moisture sensor bar) is mounted inside the dryer drum and detects the moisture level of clothes as they tumble. It sends a signal to the control board to end the cycle when clothes are dry. When the sensor bar corrodes, burns, or fails, the dryer can't detect moisture accurately — leading to over-drying, energy waste, and premature wear on fabrics. Part 6500EL3001A fits a wide range of LG DLE, DLG, and DLEX electric and gas dryers.
OEM: Genuine LG replacement — exact factory specifications.
XPart: Premium aftermarket — same fit and function, backed by XPart Supply's guarantee — aftermarket replacement parts are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by LG or any OEM manufacturer.

If your dryer runs too long, over-dries clothes, or ends the cycle too early on auto-dry settings, the humidity sensor is a common cause. You can also inspect the sensor bar inside the drum for visible corrosion or burn marks. Contact us for help diagnosing your dryer.
Yes — sometimes lint buildup or fabric softener residue on the sensor bar causes false readings. Try cleaning the bar with fine steel wool or rubbing alcohol first. If the problem persists, replacement is needed.
