If your Bosch dishwasher is overfilling, triggering an E15 flood error, or refusing to start a wash cycle, the float assembly is the most common cause. In most Bosch dishwashers, this is caused by a failed float housing assembly with microswitch. When it fails, the control board loses its water-level signal — triggering flood protection lockout, overfill events, or a machine that won't fill at all. ⚡ Common failure point in Bosch-built dishwashers. ✔ In most cases, replacing this float assembly restores normal operation immediately.
Skill Level: Easy — 20 to 35 minutes. Disconnect power before servicing. Remove the lower rack, unscrew the lower spray arm, and lift out the filter basket to access the float assembly in the front-left corner of the tub floor. Disconnect the wiring harness, unclip the old float housing, and snap in the new assembly. Reconnect the harness, reassemble, and run a short cycle to confirm the E15 clears.
