A Samsung washer that won’t drain, leaves standing water in the drum, or displays a 5E, SE, or nF error code almost always has a failed drain pump. In most Samsung front-load and top-load washers, the drain pump is the motor-driven impeller assembly that forces water out of the drum through the drain hose at the end of each cycle — when the pump motor fails or the impeller jams, water cannot exit and the washer stops mid-cycle. When it fails, the washer may display an error code, refuse to spin, or leave clothes soaking wet at the end of the cycle. ⚡ Drain pump failure is the most common cause of Samsung washer not draining errors. Part DC97-24179A is the genuine OEM drain pump that restores full draining and spin function immediately.

Disconnect the wire harness and hose clamps, remove the mounting screws, and swap in the new DC97-24179A pump. Reconnect hoses and harness, restore power, and run a drain/spin cycle to confirm full drainage before reassembling the panel.
