The DE47-20037A is the genuine OEM Samsung oven thermostat for compatible Samsung gas and electric ranges. This component monitors oven cavity temperature and signals the control board to cycle the bake or broil element on and off to maintain the set temperature. When the thermostat fails or drifts out of calibration, the oven runs too hot, too cold, or produces inconsistent results. This is a direct OEM replacement for part number 2079753.

The DE47-20037A thermostat is a two-wire resistance-based temperature sensor (NTC thermistor type) that mounts inside the oven cavity, typically on the rear wall. As oven temperature rises, the sensor's resistance changes, and the control board reads this signal to regulate heating. A failed or drifted sensor causes the board to misread cavity temperature, resulting in over- or under-heating. This part replaces the original 2079753 with no modification required.
Oven temperature is inaccurate — too hot or too cold at the set temperature — Oven takes too long to preheat or never reaches set temperature — Food is consistently overcooked or undercooked — Oven displays temperature error codes (e.g. SE, t) — Bake or broil element cycles on and off erratically

Disconnect power to the range at the breaker and unplug before beginning. The thermostat is typically located on the rear wall of the oven cavity, secured by one or two screws. Remove the mounting screw(s) and pull the sensor probe out of the cavity wall. Disconnect the two-wire harness connector. Connect the new DE47-20037A sensor, route the probe back into the cavity wall, and secure with the mounting screw(s). Restore power and run a preheat cycle to verify accurate temperature. Use an oven thermometer to confirm calibration if needed.
