Unplug the refrigerator before beginning. The evaporator fan motor is located behind the rear panel inside the freezer compartment. Remove all freezer shelves and drawers, then unscrew the rear panel to expose the evaporator assembly. Disconnect the fan motor wiring harness and remove the mounting screws or clips. Transfer the fan blade to the new motor (note blade orientation — it must face the same direction), mount the new motor, reconnect the harness, and reassemble. Plug in and confirm the fan spins freely. Allow 24 hours for temperatures to fully stabilize before restocking food.
