Common Symptoms
- Refrigerator not cooling or cooling inconsistently
- Defrost-cycle problems or frost buildup
- Compressor or fan not cycling as expected
- Freezer temperature too warm or too cold
- Unresponsive controls or display-related error indications
- Intermittent refrigerator startup or power-related operation
Check Before Replacing
- Verify that the part number printed on the existing control board matches EBR73093617 or an explicitly documented replacement.
- Disconnect refrigerator power before inspecting the board, connectors, and wiring harnesses.
- With power disconnected, inspect connectors and the board for loose connections, visible scorching, corrosion, or physical damage.
- Check whether the observed symptom is consistent with a control-board function, while recognizing that thermistors, switches, wiring, fans, compressors, and other components can produce similar symptoms.
- Use the refrigerator’s documented service or diagnostic procedure, if available for the exact model, rather than replacing the board based only on a symptom.
Pro Tip
Match the identification label on the existing board before ordering; similar refrigerator symptoms can also originate from sensors, wiring, fans, switches, or the compressor.
