If your GE gas oven won't light, takes a long time to ignite, or heats weakly and cycles off early, the oven igniter (glowbar) is the most common cause. In most GE and Hotpoint gas ranges, the igniter weakens over time — drawing insufficient current to open the gas valve fully or failing to reach the temperature needed to ignite the burner. When it fails, the oven either won't light at all, takes several minutes to ignite, or runs at lower-than-set temperatures because the valve isn't opening fully. ⚡ Most common failure point in GE gas ranges — igniters typically fail after 5–8 years of use. Part WS01F10366 is the genuine OEM replacement igniter glowbar that restores fast, reliable oven ignition and full gas valve operation.
This is the correct fix if ALL of the following are true:

✔ If these symptoms match, the igniter is the most likely failed component — not the gas valve or control board.
✔ In most cases, replacing the igniter glowbar restores normal oven ignition and full temperature performance immediately.
Skill Level: EASY — 20–30 minutes. Basic tools required. Disconnect power and shut off the gas supply before servicing. Remove the oven racks and the oven bottom panel to access the igniter. Disconnect the igniter wiring harness — do not touch the ceramic igniter body with bare hands (skin oils reduce igniter lifespan). Install the new WS01F10366, reconnect the harness, reassemble, restore gas and power, and test the oven on Bake.
