Maintain cleanliness by washing and replacing this pre-motor filter periodically after disposing of the bin contents. Its function is to prevent larger debris from entering the motor housing, while still allowing for adequate air flow. Please note that this filter is not HEPA-rated and usually consists of foam or multiple layers of mesh fabric. It is recommended to clean this filter regularly, as it is responsible for the majority of the filtration process.
