When your LG electric range broils weakly, unevenly, or not at all, a failed sheath broil heater is the most common cause. In LRE and LSE series LG ranges, the broil element provides intense top heat for browning, broiling, and finishing dishes. Skill Level: EASY — 20–30 minutes. Disconnect power at the circuit breaker before beginning — this is a 240V component. Remove oven racks for access, then disconnect the wire terminals from the old element (photograph routing first) and remove the two mounting screws at the back of the oven cavity. Slide the old element out through the front, position the new MEE62306504, secure the mounting screws, and reconnect the terminals. Restore power and test broil function. No special tools required.
