The DA97-12540A is a genuine OEM auger motor assembly for Samsung French door and side-by-side refrigerators. This assembly powers the auger that rotates inside the ice bucket, dispensing ice through the door. Features include a high-torque, low-noise electric motor, pre-attached mounting bracket, and factory-wired connectors for plug-and-play installation. Typical lifespan is 6–12 years; failures are most often due to motor burnout, ice jamming, or worn gears. Symptoms: dispenser not dispensing ice, auger not turning, buzzing or clicking noises, or intermittent operation. IMPORTANT: Only use OEM assemblies for correct fit and electrical compatibility.
