Samsung Refrigerator Water Filter (HAF-QIN/EXP) DA97-17376B

Is This the Right Part?

✅ Cross Reference Information

Common Symptoms

• Reduced dispenser water flow
• Unusual chlorine taste or odor
• Water flow briefly sputtering after installation because of trapped air or loose carbon fines
• Filter replacement indicator illuminated, where equipped

Check Before Replacing

• Confirm the installed cartridge is labeled DA97-17376B or HAF-QIN/EXP and is intended for the refrigerator model.
• Check whether dispenser flow improves with a newly installed, correctly locked cartridge; do not force a cartridge that does not seat normally.
• Inspect the filter-to-housing interface for visible misalignment or leakage after installation.
• Dispense water and observe for reduced flow, sputtering, unusual taste, or odor; these observations do not by themselves confirm that the filter is the sole cause.
• If the refrigerator has a filter indicator, compare its status with the filter's installation date or usage history.

Installation Notes

• Turn off the refrigerator water supply before removal when practical and dispense water until flow stops.
• Remove the old cartridge by turning it counterclockwise; install the replacement by pushing it into the housing and turning it clockwise until the lock position aligns.
• Do not force the cartridge or use a filter with visibly incompatible locking tabs; an incorrect fit can damage the filter housing or cause leakage.
• Restore the water supply, check the filter connection for leaks, and flush the dispenser for several minutes before normal use.
• Reset the refrigerator's filter indicator if the model provides one.
