Skill Level: Moderate — 30–45 minutes. Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator before servicing. Locate the filter housing inside the refrigerator compartment, remove the existing filter, and disconnect the water line connections from the housing. Remove the mounting screws, swap in the new DA81-05999A housing, reconnect the water lines, reinstall a fresh filter, restore water supply, and run the dispenser for 2–3 minutes to flush air and confirm no leaks.
