LPTUBKIT is a four-piece aftermarket tub bearing-and-seal repair kit for select LG and LG-manufactured Kenmore front-load washers. This is an aftermarket replacement kit — not a genuine LG OEM kit.

The kit contains aftermarket replacements corresponding to LG part numbers MAP61913708, 4280FR4048E, 4036ER4001B and 4036ER2004A. These components rebuild the bearing and sealing system between the washer basket shaft and outer tub.

Worn bearings or damaged seals may contribute to loud rumbling or grinding during spin, excessive basket movement, rough rotation or water leaking near the rear tub. Similar symptoms can also result from a damaged basket spider, worn basket shaft, loose counterweights, failed suspension components or another mechanical problem.

Inspect the stainless-steel basket shaft and spider before installing the kit. Replacing the bearings and seals will not repair a cracked spider or badly corroded shaft. New bearings will not correct a damaged basket spider or worn basket shaft.

• Confirm the noise originates from the bearing area and not from the drain pump, motor or foreign material between the tubs
• Check for loose counterweights or failed shock absorbers — these can produce vibration and noise similar to bearing failure
• Verify the washer is level — an unlevel installation accelerates bearing wear and can cause noise and vibration
