Common Symptoms
- A touch key does not register a press.
- Touch-control selections are intermittent or cannot be entered.
Check Before Replacing
- Confirm the range has power and note whether the display is operating before attributing an input problem to the membrane assembly.
- With both ovens and timers off, check whether Control Lock is enabled; for MET8800FZ, press and hold START for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the controls.
- Note whether the problem affects one keypad or multiple keypads, and whether the control responds after unlocking.
- Before any access to the control panel, disconnect electrical power; do not probe or disconnect control wiring while energized.
Pro Tip
Check Control Lock first. The applicable parts list separately identifies the W10903065 membrane assembly and the electric control, so an unresponsive touch panel alone does not prove which component has failed.
