If your GE microwave has no power, won't heat, or goes completely dead, the microwave power board is the most common cause. Skill Level: ADVANCED — 45–60 minutes. Disconnect power at the breaker before beginning and wait a minimum of 10 minutes — the high-voltage capacitor inside the microwave can retain a lethal charge even after power is removed. Remove the microwave's outer casing to access the power board, photograph all harness connections, remove the mounting screws, and swap the board. Reconnect all harnesses in the original positions, reinstall the casing, restore power, and run a test cycle. If you are not comfortable working around high-voltage components, have this repair performed by a qualified technician.
