When your GE dishwasher stops cleaning effectively — dishes come out dirty, water isn't circulating through the spray arms, or the machine runs but nothing gets clean — the circulation pump and motor assembly is the primary suspect. The WG04F05516 is the direct OEM replacement that restores full water pressure and circulation, so every cycle delivers the thorough, consistent clean your dishwasher was designed to provide.

This circulation pump and motor assembly addresses the most common failure modes in affected GE dishwashers: dishes not getting clean despite running full cycles, no water spraying from the spray arms during wash, dishwasher running but making unusual humming or grinding noises, standing water remaining in the tub after the cycle, error codes related to water circulation or wash motor failure, and reduced water pressure to upper and lower spray arms.

Always disconnect power and turn off the water supply before starting. Pull the dishwasher out from the cabinet for access to the pump assembly underneath. Photograph all wiring harness connections before disconnecting. Remove the lower spray arm, filter assembly, and sump cover to access the pump. Disconnect the wiring harness and water inlet/outlet hoses from the old pump. Install the new WG04F05516 in the same orientation, reconnect all hoses and harness connectors, and ensure all clamps are secure. Run a short test cycle to verify water circulation and check for leaks before pushing the unit back into the cabinet.
