The water inlet valve is the electrically controlled solenoid valve that opens to allow water from your household supply line into the refrigerator when the ice maker or water dispenser calls for it. When the valve fails — either stuck closed or stuck open — the result is no water at the dispenser, no ice production, or a slow leak behind the refrigerator that can cause floor and cabinet damage. A valve that is stuck partially open will drip continuously into the ice maker, producing oversized or fused ice cubes. ⚙️ Installation Notes

• Skill Level: Intermediate — 20 to 35 minutes
• Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before starting
• Pull the refrigerator away from the wall to access the rear lower panel
• Place a towel under the valve area — residual water will drain when the supply line is disconnected
• Photograph the wiring harness connections and water line routing before disconnecting
• Disconnect the water supply line, the outlet tube(s) to the ice maker and dispenser, and the wiring harness
• Remove the mounting screws and swap the old valve for the new WG04F11911
• Reconnect all lines and harnesses per your photos, reinstall the rear panel
• Turn the water supply back on and check for leaks at all connections before pushing the refrigerator back
• Restore power and run the dispenser for 2–3 minutes to purge air from the lines before evaluating flow
