Common Symptoms
- Dishes remain poorly cleaned because wash water is not circulating effectively through the spray arms.
- Little or no spray-arm action during the wash portion of a cycle.
- Unusual noise while the wash motor/pump is operating.
Check Before Replacing
- Before attributing poor cleaning to this assembly, check that the spray arms can spin freely and are not blocked by dishes or obstructions.
- During a wash cycle, observe whether the dishwasher fills and whether water is circulating through the spray arms; lack of circulation can have causes other than this assembly.
- Check the complete appliance model number and confirm that WPW10554963 is the specified OEM part before ordering or installing it.
Pro Tip
Rule out blocked spray arms and loading that obstructs spray-arm movement before replacing the pump-and-motor assembly; both can cause poor cleaning without a failed circulation assembly.
