Skill Level: ADVANCED — 45–90 minutes. High-voltage risk — discharge the capacitor before touching any components. Disconnect power and allow the microwave to sit unplugged for at least 30 minutes before servicing. Remove the outer cabinet, discharge the high-voltage capacitor using an insulated resistor, disconnect the magnetron's filament leads and high-voltage connector, remove the mounting bolts, and swap the magnetron.
