Is This the Right Part?
Common Symptoms
- Unusual or loud noise while the drum rotates
- Rough or resistant-feeling drum movement when turned by hand with power disconnected
- Longer drying time may occur when the felt sealing/glide assembly is worn or damaged
Check Before Replacing
- Disconnect power, then slowly rotate the empty drum by hand and note whether noise, rubbing, or resistance appears to come from the front drum area.
- With power disconnected, inspect the accessible front drum glide/felt area for visible wear, damage, displacement, or missing material.
- Confirm the dryer model and parts diagram before ordering or disassembly; other drum-support and drive components can produce similar noise symptoms.
