Skill Level: Easy to Moderate — 20–45 minutes. Unplug the washer before beginning. Use a putty knife to release the two spring clips at the front of the top panel and lift it back. Disconnect the wiring harness from the old lid lock, remove the two mounting screws, and swap in the new assembly. Reconnect the harness, lower the top panel until the clips snap, restore power, and run a test cycle. No torque spec required — hand-tight on the mounting screws is correct.
