A failed water inlet valve is the most common cause of a Midea refrigerator that produces no ice, dispenses no water, or fills the ice maker very slowly. In Midea refrigerators, the water inlet valve is an electrically operated solenoid valve that opens to allow water from the household supply line into the ice maker and water dispenser system.
