CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING: Switch OFF the 240V breaker and verify power is OFF. Let oven cool fully.

  1. Turn off the range breaker (double-pole) and confirm no power.
  2. Remove oven racks for access.
  3. Remove the rear convection cover inside the oven cavity (screws around the cover).
  4. Locate the lower fan blade on the motor shaft.
  5. Hold the motor shaft steady (if accessible) and remove the fan blade retaining nut (thread direction can be model-specific—verify before forcing).
  6. Slide the old blade off the shaft.
  7. Inspect for rubbing marks on the shroud and check motor shaft play (bearing wear).
  8. Install the new DG67-00011B blade fully seated on the shaft.
  9. Reinstall retaining nut and tighten securely (don’t over-torque).
  10. Reinstall convection cover, racks, restore power, and test convection for smooth, quiet operation.
  1. If the new blade still rubs, the issue is often a warped rear cover or a worn fan motor bearing.
  2. Verify the blade is seated fully—partial seating causes wobble and noise.
  3. Don’t ignore shaft play; a failing motor will quickly damage the new blade.
  4. If you hear a “tick-tick” only at certain speeds, check for cover screws contacting the blade path.
  5. After install, run convection at 350°F for 5 minutes and listen for speed ramp stability.
  6. If the retaining nut is stubborn, use penetrating oil sparingly and avoid bending the shaft.
  7. Confirm you’re replacing the lower blade—some models have different upper/lower blade geometries.
  8. Any blade impact damage usually means something was loose—check the cover and motor mounts.

The DG67-00011B is a genuine OEM lower oven convection fan blade used on select Samsung (and Samsung-built Dacor) electric ranges. The blade mounts to the convection fan motor shaft behind the rear oven panel and circulates hot air through the cavity to improve heat uniformity, reduce hot spots, and speed heat transfer in convection bake/roast modes. Failures are usually mechanical: blade bent from impact during service, stripped hub, loose mounting causing vibration, cracked metal fatigue, or blade-to-shroud contact from a worn motor bearing or misaligned rear cover. Symptoms: loud rattling/whirring in convection mode, scraping noises, uneven convection baking, reduced airflow, or error conditions if the fan can’t reach speed (model dependent). IMPORTANT: Confirm this is the lower fan blade (some models also have an upper/secondary fan). CRITICAL: Turn off the breaker (240V) before servicing.
