In WDF, WDT, MDB, KDFE, and KDTE series dishwashers, the pump and motor assembly pressurizes water through the spray arms for the entire wash cycle. Skill Level: MODERATE — 45–60 minutes. Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before beginning. The pump assembly is accessed from inside the tub — remove the lower spray arm, filter assembly, and pump cover, then disconnect the wiring harness and mounting hardware. Swap in the new assembly and reassemble in reverse order. Do not overtighten mounting screws on the plastic pump housing. Run a short test cycle and inspect for leaks before pushing the dishwasher back into place.
