A cracked, clogged, or seized lower spray arm is the most common cause of poor cleaning performance, food residue on dishes, and uneven water distribution in GE dishwashers. In most GE and GE Profile dishwashers, the lower spray arm rotates during the wash cycle and distributes pressurized water across the entire lower rack — reaching every plate, bowl, and piece of cookware. When it cracks, clogs, or loses its rotation, water pressure drops, spray coverage becomes uneven, and dishes on the lower rack come out dirty no matter how much detergent is used. ⚡ One of the most common wear parts in GE dishwashers — spray holes clog and arm bodies crack from repeated heat and pressure cycles. Part WG04F12866 is the genuine OEM replacement lower spray arm that restores full water pressure, even spray coverage, and factory cleaning performance immediately.

Skill Level: Easy — 5–10 minutes. No tools required. Disconnect power before servicing. Pull the lower dish rack out completely and locate the spray arm in the center of the tub floor. Grasp the old arm and pull straight up (slight twist may be needed) to release it from the mount post. Align the new WG04F12866 over the mount post and press firmly down until it clicks into place. Spin the arm by hand to confirm free rotation, replace the rack, and run a test cycle.
