❓ Is This the Right Part?
This is the correct fix if ALL of the following are true:
- ✔ Refrigerator powers on and runs normally — compressor and fans are working
- ✔ Ice maker and dispenser electronics are functioning (no error codes)
- ✔ Household water supply to the refrigerator is confirmed on and at adequate pressure
- ✔ ONLY problem is water leaking, no dispenser flow, continuous dripping, or no water to ice maker

🔧 Common Symptoms
- Water leaking from inside the refrigerator or pooling on the floor
- No water at the dispenser despite water supply being on
- Water drips continuously from the dispenser after use
- Ice maker not receiving water or producing no ice
- Inconsistent or intermittent water flow at the dispenser
✔ If these symptoms match, the isolation valve is the most likely failed component in the system.
✔ In most cases, replacing this valve restores normal dispenser and ice maker operation immediately.

While the refrigerator is pulled out and the water line is disconnected, inspect the water inlet valve (WR57X10051 / WR57X10032) at the back of the unit. If it's more than 5 years old or shows mineral buildup, replacing it at the same time eliminates the other common cause of dispenser and ice maker water issues — saving a second service call.
⚙️ Installation
Skill Level: Moderate — 20–30 minutes. Shut off the water supply to the refrigerator and unplug the unit before beginning. The isolation valve is located at the rear of the refrigerator near the water inlet. Disconnect the water lines and wiring harness, remove the mounting screws, swap in the replacement valve, reconnect the harness and lines, then restore water supply and power. Test the dispenser and check all connections for leaks before pushing the unit back into place.
