If your GE GTW680-series top-load washer is shaking excessively, banging during spin, walking across the floor, or displaying an imbalance error, a failed tub suspension (subwasher) kit is the most common cause. In most GE high-efficiency top-load washers, the subwasher suspension system supports the inner tub and absorbs the forces generated during spin. When the suspension components wear out or break, the tub loses its damping, causing violent vibration, loud banging, and unbalanced loads that the machine cannot correct. ⚡ Most common structural failure in GE GTW680-series washers after 4–7 years of use. Part WW01F03254 is the genuine OEM subwasher kit that restores full tub suspension and eliminates vibration and imbalance immediately.

✔ If these symptoms match, the tub suspension kit is the most likely failed component.
✔ In most cases, replacing the subwasher kit restores smooth, quiet spin operation immediately.
Skill Level: MODERATE — 40–60 minutes. Unplug the washer before beginning — this is a heavy item requiring two people for safe handling. Remove the top panel and cabinet to access the tub assembly. Disconnect the suspension components from the tub and base frame, noting orientation before removal. Install the new WW01F03254 kit components in reverse order. After reassembly, run Test 15 followed by Test 14 (GE diagnostic mode) to calibrate the suspension and confirm balanced operation before returning to service.
