The AEM69493808 is a genuine OEM LG dishwasher drain hose assembly that carries wastewater from the dishwasher sump/drain pump outlet to the sink drain/air gap/garbage disposer connection. It replaces AEM69493805. Typical failures are splits/pinholes, hardened ends that won’t seal, internal restriction from grease/sludge, kinks/collapse after pushing the unit back, or leaks at clamps/fittings. Symptoms: dishwasher not draining, slow drain, standing water, leaks under the unit or under the sink, drain odor, or drain error codes (model dependent). IMPORTANT: Many “won’t drain” complaints are a blocked disposer knockout or improper high loop—not the hose. CRITICAL: Turn off breaker and water supply before servicing; expect water spillage.
