A washing machine that won’t spin, agitates weakly, or throws an LE error code almost always has a failed direct drive motor stator. In most LG and Kenmore front-load washers, the stator is the stationary winding assembly that generates the magnetic field driving drum rotation — when it fails, the motor loses torque or stops entirely. When it fails, the drum may not spin at all, rotate intermittently, or trigger LE/FE fault codes that lock the machine mid-cycle. ⚡ Common failure point in LG direct-drive front-load washers. Part 4417EA1002Y is the genuine OEM stator assembly that restores full motor torque and eliminates spin and agitation faults immediately.
This is the correct fix if ALL of the following are true:

✔ If these symptoms match, this is the most likely failed component in the system.
✔ In most cases, replacing the stator assembly restores full spin and agitation performance immediately.
Skill Level: Moderate — 45–60 min DIY. Unplug the washer before beginning any service. Lay the machine on its back to access the motor assembly from the bottom; remove the rotor bolt (typically 17mm) and pull the rotor off the shaft before the stator can be removed. Disconnect the stator wiring harness, remove the six mounting bolts, and swap in the new stator — torque mounting bolts evenly to avoid warping the stator plate. Reconnect the harness, reinstall the rotor, and run a spin-only test cycle to confirm operation before reassembling the machine.
