GENUINE OEM REPLACEMENT PART

GE Oven Ignitor WG02F14958 — Fix Gas Oven Not Lighting or No Heat

If your GE gas oven won’t heat, won’t light, or takes several minutes to ignite, a failed oven ignitor is the most common cause. In GE, Hotpoint, and RCA gas ranges, the flat-style silicon carbide ignitor weakens over time and eventually fails to reach the temperature needed to open the gas safety valve. When it fails, the oven burner never lights — the oven stays cold even though the gas supply and control board are functioning normally. ⚡ One of the most common failure points in GE-built gas ranges — average service life of 1.5–2 years under normal use. Part WG02F14958 is the current OEM replacement ignitor that supersedes WB13K21, WB2X9154, and WB13K10014, restoring full oven heating and normal ignition on the first try.

Test Ignitor Current Draw Before Ordering:
A healthy GE flat ignitor draws 3.2–3.6 amps. Use a clamp meter on the ignitor circuit during a Bake cycle to measure current draw. If it reads below 3.2A, the ignitor is weak and must be replaced even if it glows. If resistance is within spec but the oven still won’t light, the gas safety valve may be the root cause — test the valve next before ordering additional parts.
