Installation Tips

• 
  Copy Text: [Installation Tips] → Always turn off the house circuit breaker / unplug the dishwasher before beginning installation to avoid electrical hazard.

  Wear work gloves when accessing the base of the dishwasher and removing the pump casing assembly to protect cut-edges and plastic parts.
  
• 
  Remove the access panel or toe-kick, drain water from the dishwasher tub if possible, detach hoses and motor connections from the old pump casing, then install the new assembly ensuring proper hose clamps and alignment.
  
• 
  After installation, run a short rinse cycle and inspect for leaks around the pump casing/hose connections before closing up.

If you remove the old pump casing assembly and find metal shavings or bearing grease in the tub or sump area, it’s a strong indicator the impeller or motor bearings inside the assembly have failed. In that case, inspect and clean the area before installing new pump casing and consider also checking the spray arms for free rotation — this ensures the new part operates under good conditions. Using a dye test (blue food dye) during a short cycle can help detect any hidden leaks.

Common Symptoms / Failures

• 
  Washer spray arms are not rotating or not spinning freely (lack of circulation).
  
• 
  Dishwasher does not clean well, or water remains standing in tub at end of cycle (improper pumping).
  
• 
  Unusual noise coming from the base of dishwasher — bearing or motor inside pump casing may be failing.
  
• 
  Leakage from underside of dishwasher — crack or failure in pump casing allowing water to escape.
