Skill Level: Easy — 5–10 min. Disconnect power or unplug the range before beginning. Lift the failed element slightly and pull the terminal prongs straight out of the receptacle block — no tools required. Align the new element's terminals with the receptacle and press firmly until fully seated. Do not force or bend the terminals. Restore power and test on high heat to confirm even glow across the full coil.
