A GE Monogram gas range burner that won’t spark at all, clicks continuously without igniting, or sparks on the wrong burner has a failed spark ignition switch or harness — and the entire assembly needs to be replaced as a unit. In most GE Monogram C2S and CC2S series gas ranges, the spark ignition switch and harness assembly WS01F08478 routes the ignition signal from the control knob switches to the spark module and individual burner igniters. When it fails, one or more burners lose spark signal, the module clicks continuously, or the ignition system becomes erratic. ⚡ Common failure point in GE Monogram dual-fuel and all-gas range platforms. Part WS01F08478 is the genuine OEM ignition switch and harness assembly that restores reliable, single-click burner ignition.
This is the correct fix if ALL of the following are true:
✔ If these symptoms match, this is the most likely failed component in the system.
✔ In most cases, replacing this ignition switch and harness assembly restores reliable burner ignition immediately.
Skill Level: Moderate — 30–45 minutes. Disconnect power and shut off the gas supply before beginning. Remove the range grates, burner caps, and cooktop panel to access the ignition harness routing beneath. Photograph all harness connector positions before disconnecting — the multi-burner routing is easy to mis-route on reassembly. Transfer connectors one at a time from the old harness to the new WS01F08478, reinstall the cooktop, restore power and gas, and test each burner for single-click ignition.
