An oven that doesn't heat evenly causes burnt edges, undercooked centers, and ruined meals. Most uneven heating problems are caused by a few common parts you can replace yourself.
The bake element at the bottom of the oven provides the primary heat source. If it's partially burned out or has a hot spot, heat distribution becomes uneven.
The broil element at the top of the oven also contributes to even baking. If it fails, the top of food may not cook properly.
The temperature sensor monitors oven temperature and signals the control board to adjust heat. If it fails, the oven may run too hot, too cold, or unevenly.
The control board regulates heating cycles. If it fails, it may not properly cycle the heating elements to maintain even temperature.
Over time, oven temperature calibration can drift. Most ovens allow you to adjust the temperature calibration in the settings menu.
The convection fan circulates hot air for even cooking. If it fails, hot spots develop and food cooks unevenly.
We stock Bake Elements, Broil Elements, Temperature Sensors & Thermistors, Oven Control Boards, and Convection Fan Motors for all major brands.
