✅ Cross Reference Information

Common Symptoms

• Oven does not heat in bake mode.
• Igniter glows but the gas burner does not light.
• Oven takes an unusually long time to ignite or preheat.

Check Before Replacing

• With the range reassembled and the area free of gas odor, select Bake and observe whether the igniter glows and whether the bake burner lights; do not touch the igniter while energized or hot.
• If the igniter glows for an extended period (about 90 seconds) without burner ignition, treat the igniter as a possible cause, not a conclusive diagnosis.
• With electrical power disconnected, a qualified person can check the igniter for electrical continuity and inspect its connector/wiring for an obvious loose or damaged connection.
• If there is a gas odor, turn the oven off, do not operate electrical switches or create sparks, ventilate the area, and follow the gas supplier's safety instructions.

Installation Notes

• Disconnect electrical power and close the range gas shutoff valve before servicing.
• Confirm the range model and exact igniter location before installation; similar-looking igniters can differ by application.
• The glow-bar element is fragile; handle it carefully and avoid touching or stressing the heating element.
• After reassembly, restore gas and power and check for normal bake-burner ignition. Stop use if gas is smelled or ignition is abnormal.
